The ProGlide is here!
Apologies to my US readers for whom this is pretty old news but the Gillette ProGlide has finally reached the UK! Not sure why it took so long but I used it this morning and it’s pretty brilliant. Full review to come shortly, in the meantime – take a look at the specs below:
First impressions? It definitely tugs less than the Fusion, shave was impeccable and I haven’t had any irritation. Glad that they didn’t add an extra blade to this one, the inclusion of a mini comb (you can see it in the pic above) was a much better addition. It combs through the beard as you shave which makes it a lot easier to shave when going in just one direction. I’ve given a ProGlide to someone I know with very course beard hair that grows in lots of different directions so we’ll see how it fares with him…

It’s also ridiculously expensive for replacement blades, King of Shaves Azor 5 is out a much better alternative IMO!
God yeah, I heard… All will be discussed in a comparison post. Safe to say Gillette doesn’t rank too highly in terms of price…
Cool…I like Gillette in terms of performance but it’s just the price and the fact that you feel like your being ripped of so much. I really like King of Shaves probably the best ‘affordable’ mens brand out there.
