Is stubble sexy? Babyliss i-Stubble Review
In the last Ask Twitter, I asked Twitter about trimming body hair. The consensus: trim some, not all. Well it may be that that holds true for facial hair too! Studies have shown that women generally prefer men to have a little stubble (although I can think of plenty that don’t!). Whether it’s more attractive or not, keeping a stubbly face has a bunch of advantages – most importantly, that you don’t have to shave.
Here are my 3 top tips on keeping stubble:
- Judge the length of your stubble by the way in which it grows. If your beard hair is quite coarse like Pitt, Beckham and Clooney – you can afford to keep slightly longer, rugged stubble if you want. If your hair is quite soft and wispy, keep stubble short (think 5 ‘o’ clock shadow) otherwise you’ll be encroaching on what I call pube-beard territory like Justin here…
- The less planned the better. Spend time making your stubble even but the days of ‘designer stubble’ are over – ditch the ruler and tiny trimmer, facial hair that looks like it was stencilled on isn’t hot.
- Patchy beard? Trim your stubble extremely short.
How to keep the stubble in check? I highly recommend the Babyliss i-Stubble. It provides a pretty foolproof way to trim stubble. There are length settings so you can start off long and work your way shorter til you come across a length you like. It bends and tapers around your face beautifully and you can use the trimmer attatchment to clean up any edges! Check out the vid of it in action:

So, do you prefer stubble or a clean shaven face? Ladies we’d love your answers on this one too! Justin, if you’re reading this, sorry!

I think stubble can look good however after a couple of years of nearly always having stubble (shaving 2 x per week) personally I have found that my skin and complexion is much better if I’m clean shaven 95% of the time. I get less blemishes if I shave often and moisturisers and cleansers seem to do what they were designed for – rather than just sitting on top of facial hair!

LMAO pube beard! But I can totally see the resemblance. Asian guys typically don’t like keeping a beard and my boy can’t even grown one. he has two strands of hair on his chin and that’s about it :-/
Hi There!
I REALLY want to get this, but I live in canada. Will i need the plug adapter to get this? or is there a Canadian version of this? Thanks!
Hi Marty, as far as I know it’s only retailing in the UK but you can double check the site to make sure. If it’s not out in Canada yet, a plug adapter would do the trick!
I have to say, from personal experience, that stubble gets me a few more “looks”, as well as compliments. Once my love noticed though, she made sure to keep me smooth – well as smooth as an electric razor can get!
