No intro needed this time, let’s get right to it! Today we’re talking shaving, sunscreen, moisturisers and masques…

First up is the very clever, Eyre Biobotanics Deep Cleansing Mineral Mud Mask. It’s a dual-chambered facial mask; one half a de-clogging mud mask and the other half a deeply hydrating one. Most people don’t have dry skin all over their face or indeed oily skin all over – rather it’s a combination of the two. This mask ensures that you won’t be over-moisturising the oily bits or drying out the dry bits. I apply the mud mask all over my oily t-zone and chin and the moisturising one on my cheeks. It has two pumps so you can control the amount of each mask you use and it performs exceptionally well; leaving your skin looking clear, bright and balanced. Easily one of my all time favourite facial masks.
The Dermalogica Pure Light moisturiser is part of their ChromaWhite series (which i’ll be reviewing soon!) and is a fantastic mineral sunscreen. It provides a good amount of protection for winter and it’s completely mineral so great for sensitive skin. The best thing about this is that, despite being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn’t look extremely white on the skin and it’s not sticky in the slightest. Just a very light, runny lotion that leaves a soft-matte finish to the skin. Love this.
A recent purchase and a new favourite, the King of Shaves Antibacterial Alpha Shave Gel is a brilliant product for shavers with acne-prone or ingrown-prone skin. Instead of the usual, potentially irritating menthol – this shaving gel is tea tree and aloe based. It smells fantastic, provides good cushion/slip for your razor and the combination of tea tree and witchhazel keeps blemish-prone skin happy. Definitely one to look out for.
Now that it’s autumn, i’ve been reaching for my Mir Skincare Argan Beauty Oil a lot more often. As the weather becomes cooler, skin needs more moisture and this is a great product to have around if you don’t fancy buying new skincare for the winter. Just a pump of this mixed with your regular nighttime moisturiser will leave skin fully hydrated, repaired and healthy-looking. It’s an oil but it’s actually quite acne-friendly so if you have acne as well as dry skin – this is definitely worth a try.
As always, you can leave a comment if you’d like a more detailed review on any of these products. Stay tuned next week for more speed reviews!
