Review – Giorgio Armani Moisturizing Bronzer

A few years ago, I used to work at the Giorgio Armani cosmetics counter and the Skin Minerals Moisturizing Bronzer was by far our most popular product for men. Women bought it for themselves as well as boyfriends/husbands/brothers/sons, men threw it in with fragrance purchases and the amount of phone orders we had were astronomical. I have no idea why it took me so long to review this so here goes!

Inspired by Volcanic Force, a hydrating bronzer infused with minerals that helps give a healthy-looking tan all year-round. Enriched with essential minerals, this progressive self-tanning formula provides a combined action: it hydrates and enhances skin appearance and provides an even-toned result to give a uniform, natural-looking tan.

It basically does exactly what it says it will. It’s a very light, hydrating moisturiser that gradually tans your complexion. There’s no orange in this formula so there are no worries when it comes to looking overly tanned. Your first application will leave you with a very light wash of colour. Used 2 to 3 times a week, it’ll give you a healthy looking, sunkissed tan. This product is a gradual tanner so it’s very difficult to go wrong with it and it feels great on the skin too!

A few points to note when using this:

• It’s best to apply this in the evenings.
• Use less than you think you need, a light layer should do the trick.
• Using small amounts ensures that you can build the tan up to a colour you like. Then just use it every few days in order to maintain the colour, 2 to 3 times a week should be plenty.
• Apply all over your face, neck and ears to ensure everything is even. Make sure to get your hairline too!
• Avoid the eyebrows, you can use a towel to wipe them after application to be sure.
• Avoid the eye area when applying this product because it’ll enhance any dark circles you have. A good trick is to apply the product all over and then using the residue left on your fingers, pat the area around your eyes to make sure everything’s blended bell.
• Wash your hands when you’re done!
