Time for a new SCforM feature! I get through a lot of products and sometimes it’s difficult to review every single one. Well the ever-wise British Beauty Blogger suggested I do some ‘speed reviews’ where I quickly review a few products so that you guys don’t miss out on stuff because i’m a lazy blogger.
Let me know if you want more!
Skincology Advanced Hydrating Phyto Complex. Another from the vault of Asian Skincare. Skincology is a line i’m beginning to love more and more, well thought-out products at affordable prices. A few drops of this stuff massaged into damp skin gives you a nice boost of hydration before your regular moisturiser. It’s a bit sticky on application but that’s because of the hyaluronic acid and can’t be avoided. Expect to wake up with plump and hydrated skin.

Dr Organic Pomegranate Lip Balm. My lips are almost always a bit dry or flaky thanks to me constantly biting/licking them. Since discovering this lip balm I haven’t had problems with either. It’s a nice, thick, slightly waxy yet moisturising balm with a sublte pomegranate scent. The 20% Ellagic Acid is fantastic as it helps to heal, repair and generally brighten up dull lips. Also contains SPF – it’s amazing and heavily used as you can see! Looks pink but there’s no colour/tint to it and it isn’t shiny.

Garnier Tinted Eye Roll-on. This is a great little concealer for the under eye area. As you can see, the formula is quite sheer so it doesn’t deposit a lot of colour. Useless if you want to cover very dark circles but it looks very natural on. Just swipe a tiny bit under your eye and blend it outwards with your ring finger, making sure to get the corner of your eye too. The alcohol in this makes it a bit drying so if you have dry skin under your eyes, skip this. Also avoid if you’re either very pale or dark, shade selection is limited. The shade above is ‘Medium’.

Bumble to Bumble Sumotech. Everything I want in a hair product. It goes on almost matte (nothing compared to Gatsby Grunge Matte), gives enough hold for short-to-medium length hair, doesn’t weight hair down and washes out quickly. Sister’s been loving this too (well I assume she has because I haven’t seen this stuff for the last week).
Calvin Klein Truth Deodrant. This is a stick deodrant (looks like a stick of clear gel) and it smells bloody amazing. I bought this is Vietnam when I was desperate for a deodrant and this was the cheapest thing I could find (I couldn’t even find Lynx!). Out there it didn’t do anything for either sweat or er.. odour. Back in London though, this is a fantastic deodrant that smells gorgeous – enough scent to come through clothes too.

Blink Brow Gel – Clear. I picked this up during my adventures at Blink Brow Bar. It’s clear and deposits very little product at a time so you can run it through your brows without them ending up looking gloopy and wet. Another great thing about this is that, when dry, it doesn’t flake. So even if you run your hands over your brows you won’t look like you have brow-dandruff. Just open the wand, flick it upwards through your brows and you’re done! You can even use this on your lashes if you’d like. Also comes in tinted versions which i’ll review soon.
That’s all for now, stay tuned for more speed reviews – I quite like this format!
