Skeen+ Powdered Skincare

poudreLumiere verse fond blanc 175553 L Skeen+ Powdered SkincareIt’s been a while since I was really interested in a new product line but Skeen+ has definitely caught my attention. I came across it whilst browsing the net a while ago and quickly came to find that it retails at SpaceNK here in the UK. Not sure about the US but i’ll update when I do. Let’s have a little brand history lesson shall we?

Created by Parisian Pedro Garcia Maggi, Skeen is a global anti-ageing dermatological brand that combines only the purest and most powerful active ingredients recognised by leading dermatologists: retinol, vitamin C, glycolic acid and hyaluronic acid. Formulated with a team of biochemists, dermatologists and pharmacists to achieve the most effective results, Skeen has been causing a stir in Europe since its launch in 2006.

Skeen was originally created for men, but women rapidly became converted after stealing the products from their partners’ beauty cabinets. Women now make up 30% of skeen+ clientele, adding to the brand’s notable success in France, Italy and Spain.

Sounds good, right? Love the second paragraph, sounds a lot like the goings on here at SCforM! The brand definitely seems to have some well formulated products and I’m anxious to try out what they have to offer. Of particular interest to me was the ‘Illuminating Care Powder’ and ‘Perfect Eyes Powder’. These are both powder products that you pour into the palm of your hand and (once massaged) they turn into light mattifying creams. How cool is that?!

It’ll be interesting to see how the products work but they’re meant to keep skin velvety-matte as well as preserve the active ingredients (the main component of these two seems to be Vitamin C) since they’re powder based. Will have to reasearch that a bit more but it sounds like a fantastic combo.

I’ll be writing a full review of these two as well as a few other products from the Skeen+ line which aren’t powder based but look equally promising. Stay tuned!
