Gah, I love this stuff.  Armani Prive Cèdre Olympe  is fast becoming my Summer scent of choice, read on to find out why!

So let’s start with what Armani have to say:

The house of Armani has launched Prive Cèdre Olympe , a Greek mythological reference to mount Olympus, the God of the Mediterranean. Cedar is a symbol of immortality and strength. The powerful notes of cedar, pine, resins, solar accord, sea-breeze accord, bitter orange, bergamot, and lemon tree leaves ignites your senses into magnificent veils of deep valleys and rich woods. Cèdre Olympe evokes the stone walls and sea breeze off the Aegean Sea. It’s alliance with the earth and sky lured Giorgio Armani. It’s a complete qualification of complete seduction as well as perfect luxury. It starts off masculine and musky then fades to a sweet finish.

This stuff smells gorgeous. As ever, it’s difficult to write a fragrance review but this one has the perfect blend of musky manly scent and sweet, refreshing almost-citrus. The combination makes this the perfect scent to wear on hot summer nights.

It’s heavy and sensual (ugh, did I really just use the word ‘sensual’ in a fragrance review?) but the citrus and I assume ‘sea-breeze accord’ keeps it from smelling overpowering. As the night wears on this begins to smell less musky and a bit sweeter but not sickly or girly. Hoping this doesn’t sound too pretentious but it sort of smells like a Mediterranean holiday, you know that musky sweet scent when you’re walking around at night? That. It’s not something I’d usually go for and initially I didn’t really like it. Fast forward a few days and i’m wearing this every night I go out, other people seem to like it too!

I’d say Cèdre Olympe is a bit much to wear for the day but for summer nights? This stuff rocks.
