This 100% mineral silica powder softens the appearance of imperfections. Completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look. One universal shade for all skin tones.

What it is: This is a lightweight silica powder that glides onto the skin – mattifying anything it touches, diffusing the appearance of large pores yet leaving your skin with a completely natural finish. The powder is completely colourless so there’s no worry about shade matching or looking like you’re wearing anything.

How to use: You’ll need to buy a powder brush to use this. Simply take a little bit on your brush, shake off any excess and then swipe it onto your face. It really is that easy. As I said, the powder goes on colourless and will control oil all day! The jar is small but you only need a tiny bit each time to get the desired effect.

Who would it benefit: Anybody who wants to remove facial shine, control oil or lessen the appearance of large pores and other imperfections.

Now, the price is around $30 for a small jar which is pretty steep, despite it being a great product. An affordable alternative is the E.L.F HD Powder which is pretty much the exact same product but in a larger quantity for only $6!

Is there a similar product in the form of a lotion or cream that does the same thing?

Hi Rick, yes there is! The Givenchy Mister Mat product I reviewed is a silicone based gel that does the same sort of thing.

Hi, just a quick question. If I put on my sunscreen (Anthelios 50+), wait like 30 minutes and then use the powder, will the sunscreen be less efficient? Thank you. Love your blog. Cheers from Brazil.
