I know a lot of my readers prefer to use organic skin care when possible so here’s a review for the shaving cream from The Organic Pharmacy.

To condition, nourish, calm and protect. A rich shaving cream infused with Aloe and Sandalwood which offers excellent lubrication to ensure a smooth shave. Antioxidants protect and heal the skin while herbal extracts help reduce ingrown hairs.

I’ve been trying a fair few organic shaving creams as of late and unfortunately a lot of them fail to impress. This one, however, is great. It applies just like a standard shaving cream except the lather it creates is intense! Massaging this against my stubble (without a brush) creates an enormous amount of lather compared to a similarly priced shaving cream. For example, this one blows the Anthony Logistics one I like out of the window. This is perfect if you like a lot of foam from your shaving cream but don’t have a shaving brush.

Despite the lather being so thick, the foam isn’t too dense/sticky so it rinses very easily leaving no residue in your razor. The shave comes out nice and clean but I must say that because the lather isn’t very dense or sticky, it comes at the price of less cushioning between your blade and skin. It’s a non-issue for most guys but if you have sensitive skin, this may be one to miss.
