Egyptian Magic – Review

egyptian magic Egyptian Magic ReviewThis is a review for Egyptian Magic Cream, a staple in my skin routine. First the prodcut description:

Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream “The People’s Choice” is made with the blessings and guidance of our ancestors and with the following pure ingredients: olive oil, bees wax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, bee propolis and Divine love. Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream “The People’s Choice” is sold through upscale health food stores, homeopathic pharmacies, and estheticians’ offices. In addition gynecologists, plastic surgeons, homeopathic physicians, chiropractors from all over the world sell Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream “The People’s Choice.”

So yeah, there’s a lot of crap about ‘blessings’ and ‘ancestors’ but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a fantastic all-purpose balm. It comes in a large white tub and the product itself is quite waxy before you warm it between your fingers to create an oil. This really is multi purpose; I’ve successfully used this for everything from burns and cuts to dry skin and my cousin’s eczema. You simply warm the product between your fingers and then pat it into the skin. I think this is best done at night so it has time to absorb by the morning.

The product smells vaguely like honey (which is understandable, looking at the ingredients) and leaves an oily sheen on the skin. The main thing I use this for, however, is facial irritation from shaving.

My face is easily irritated by shaving and if I have to shave for a few days in a row I end up with very irritated, red skin that’s prone to ingrown hairs. The Egyptian Magic has stopped all of that, just before I sleep I simply warm a bit between my fingers and then pat it into my face and neck. The next morning I wake up with perfectly calm, moisturised and glowing skin. Oh and a smear of this will heal a shaving cut really quickly and prevent any scarring if you get a bad one. The main ingredients in this are olive oil and honey which have proven to be great for my normal/combination skin but may prove troublesome on those with oily skin. Those with dry skin should run out and buy some of this – pat this into any dry patches at night and in the morning they’ll have disappeared. The short ingredients list should be welcome to anyone with sensitive skin.

I can’t recommend this product highly enough. It’s great just to have a tub of this lying around your house. In the winter when my face was dry from the cold weather and central heating, this kept my face moist and healthy. I also use this on airplanes to combat the drying air. I could go on and on really, it’s a great muti-tasker.

Five stars.

For years I’ve been rotating products trying to treat my persistent razor bumps. I changed razors three times, changed shaving creams four times (tried shaving gels, shaving soaps), and then bought a litany of products designed to treat razor bumps specifically. Nothing worked. I used this goop one time, and it completely took care of my bumps – and my razor burn, which, being as aggressive as radiation poisoning, I didn’t think I could ever treat. It looks like cheap candle wax, and it smells like my backyard, but this goop is magic: it is *magic* goop. Please recommend more miraculous, multipurpose ancient muds.
